Copper-free bristle attachment technology is contrasted with the traditional copper-based bristle attachment method. In the past, toothbrush bristles were secured to the brush head by using metal to bundle and fasten them in place. The drawbacks of this method are as follows: First, the bristles are prone to falling out because they are secured in bundles; since many bristles are fastened together, it is inevitable that some will come loose. Second, the copper plates are prone to rusting; over time, rust from the copper plates can cause secondary contamination and harm to the oral cavity.
Copper-free bristle attachment technology refers to the process of securing bristles to the brush head using hot-melt bonding. Bristles treated with this method become extremely secure once they cool. Additionally, since the materials used in copper-free bristle attachment are the same as those of the bristles themselves, issues such as rust are prevented.
Partnership Considerations
Electric toothbrushes, particularly sonic electric toothbrushes, use high-frequency vibrations to generate bubbles for oral cleaning. During high-frequency vibration, traditional copper-plate bristle attachment methods can easily compromise the stability of the copper plates, leading to bristle shedding. In contrast, bristles attached using hot-melt technology are more secure; therefore, electric toothbrushes are better suited for copper-plate-free bristle attachment methods than regular toothbrushes.
